OVERVIEW

The MMC Tennis Center is located on the west side of campus across from the US Century Bank Arena and the Panther Parking Garage. The Center has 6 lighted medium-hard tennis courts for recreational use. The Center is also the home for the FIU Golden Panther women's varsity tennis team. Nearby are FIU's Outdoor Basketball Courts, a 2-court unlit playing area.

TENNIS CENTER PROCEDURES

  • Current FIU students and Recreation (REC) Members have first priority on courts. General public and non-ID holders must pay a Guest Fee to play ($5/hr) and have second priority for use. Unused courts are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Courts #7-12 ARE FOR RECREATION. Courts #1-6 are reserved for varsity practice/matches and scheduled Intramural Sports contests only.
  • FIU Recreation Services Staff members reserve the right to deny use, or move players to different courts.
  • All non-academic instruction must be coordinated through and sponsored by FIU Recreation Services. Private instruction is regulated through FIU Recreation Services.
  • Tennis shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Play at your own risk. Recreation Services will not be held liable for injuries sustained by individuals participating at the Tennis Center.

Cold drinks may be purchased at the Tennis Center window during regular hours of operation. Tennis balls may be purchased at the Tennis Center or at the Recreation Center. Rackets available for checkout at the Tennis Center during Fall and Spring semesters.
