SUMMER A INTRAMURALS ARE HERE!

BasketballThe 5-on-5 Basketball League entry deadline is Thurs., May 17. The season begins Tues., May 22. Register online by clicking here, go to "Upcoming Leagues" and find the appropriate Sport & League and click on the "Register Online" link. Make sure to select "I am registering for my entire team". This sport requires a $30 forfeit bond (refundable deposit) to enter.

Outdoor Soccer: Alpha Omicron Pi, Rebels, IMBA, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and Kiss My S5. 4-on-4 Flag Football: Catch Dees, On All 4's, and Team Dilemma. Kickball: Looking To Score. Dodgeball: Meatheads. Table Tennis: Maria Campana, Krista Williams, and Bryan Perez. Tennis: Diego Mujica. Racquetball: Alexis Belmonte.


CONGRATULATIONS CORPORATE RUNNERS!

2012 Corporate RunA hearty "thank you" to the over 100 runners and walkers representing Team FIU in the 27th Annual Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run, held Thurs., Apr. 26 in downtown Miami. Over 22,000 people participated in this annual fundraiser for the American Red Cross. Top finishers for Team FIU were Andres Pulido, with a time of 21 minutes, 50 seconds in the Men's category, and in the Women's category, Maria Jose Moria finished in the time of 26:10. Start your training now for next year's race!


SpinningCERTIFICATIONS! COME AND GET YOUR CERTIFICATIONS HERE!

Rec Services is offering 2 excellent certifcation workshops in June. On Fri., June 22, get certified in Spinning®, everyone's favorite indoor cycling activity. The nine hour class runs form 9am-6pm in the Recreation Center's Blue Fitness Room and gets you ready to become a Spinning® Instructor. Then the following day, Sat., June 23 from 8am-6pm, get certified as a National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF) Personal Trainer. For more information on Spinning®, go to www.spinning.com.
